INTRODUCTION The Moringa tree as Moringa oleifera by its genus then species has a long history in the world. Moringa is known in 82 countries by 210 different names. It’s well known by the name of “The Miracle Tree”. Moringa has been used for thousands of years by many societies Roman, Greek, Egyptian and Indian. Modern society has little by little learned of its great value through cultural, culinary and scientific studies. Its can grow on various continents in many countries. Not all countries are aware of this valuable tree. Many countries listed as malnourished regions between 5 to 35% are also the same countries in which moringa grows. This is why many institutes , missions and associations are helping to educate such malnourished regions in planting ,using and spreading the Moringa Tree to help stop hunger. There are thirteen known species of Moringa so far this does not mean there are not others. The temperatures favorable to M. oleifera are 25 to 35 degrees Celsius or 77 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit which can very between 23.8-36.6 Celsius that is 75 to 98 Fahrenheit depending on humidity , soil and location. It also can with stand higher temperatures if the climate fluctuates into extremes. The M. oleifera has an amazing ability to spring back to life if it is naturally damaged by nature, artificially by cuttings or by good old fashion seed dispersal by wind , animal or people. Amazingly this tree also can grows in various PH soil ranges of 5 to 9 and within altitudes from sea level up to as high 5000 feet. Its best PH soil range is the near neutral 6 PH or neutral at 7 PH with a well drained sandy or loamy soil terrain within subtropical to tropical areas. They do not grow in cold regions unless it is a hot house that provide temperatures of 15 C that is 60 F and above which is used for subtropical and tropical plants. In a case study in the country Burkina Faso in Africa severely malnourished local children receive 10 grams of moringa a day without any negative effects. In countries like Chad and India Moringa is consumed as a part of the local diet. Western Medicine has not incorporated several Eastern nutrient enriched foods but is now learning of their precious value. When the tree is liquefied and concentrated then possible toxicity can occur as indicted by animal studies done by various researchers. This does not include fresh moringa leaves. Up to one cup fresh leaves can be consumed daily. Fresh leaf consumption also benefits the body as the unprocessed leaves is allowed to retain its original amino acids.
